Potted History of Monton's Pubs

A Potted History of Monton's Pubs full article

Some of Monton's pubs have a long history and one or two are newbies on the scene. This potted history of Monton's pubs is accurate as far as we can ascertain. There have been several other watering holes opened in Monton over the last few years such as Playfoots, Bodega, Enoteca and

Monton Tap which are classed  as bars rather than pubs by many people. However, this article concentrates on those that can have a traceable 'pub history'

The Queen's Arms is technically not in Monton. It's on the border of Monton but actually in Patricroft.

As it is a Grade !! listed premises with lots of history, it was decided to include it. Well worth a visit.

The information in the article has been found from various places and hopefully accurate. If anyone, on reading this, has any further information please do not hesitate to contact us on info@montonvillage.org.uk
